ex MR 3F 0-6-0

No. 43244 was built from a J.M. Models etched brass kit. It has a Mashima motor and 40:1 gearbox to give reasonable slow running. Slaters wheels were used and the front two axles are compensated. The middle axle on the tender is sprung. Livery is BR and it is ex-works mainly because I haven't been able to bring myself to weather it! It was a Burton engine for most of it's life.

The transfers came from HMRS presfix sheet 14.

Tar wagon

The tank is a Bachmann brass model with added steam heating coils and the transfers made using the article by Paul Bartlett titled 'Take Two Tanks'; HMRS Journal, Volume 17 Number 1 January - March 2000, p. 65; This article included an HMRS photo of the tank.
