You may search within the web site catalogue using the form below for items from the British Isles. Please note that the more you fill in, the more restrictive is the search: also the comparisons are exact, thus searching for "0-6-0WT" in a drawing description will not find one where the wheel arrangement is recorded as "0-6-0 WT".
Different people may classify the same information in different ways: so when searching, try to think if what you are looking for may have been catalogued in not quite the way you would have done.

If you believe that classification cannot be unclear, think of how someone might consider the diesel car in the proposed Agility (Bi-mode) Super Express trains: would it be "carriage", "DMU", "EMU" "non-passenger coaching stock"? It couldn't be a locomotive as it has no motors. The coaches in the unit with traction motors would normally be classed as "powered" - would this mean that the diesel car would be a "trailer"?
